Planning and Advice Across Your Whole Financial Picture

Our work runs from wealth management and investment management to retirement planning, tax management, legacy planning and life insurance consulting. Retirement work is led by a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), a designation focused on income planning, Social Security timing and distribution strategy. We are also licensed to sell life insurance, so when coverage belongs in your financial plan we can review policies and place one directly. Each service page explains what we look at and what you receive in writing.

How Working Together Runs

The order rarely changes, and you receive something in writing at each stage.

  1. 1

    Introductory meeting

Reach us by phone to set it up. We talk through your goals, timeline and what is worrying you, and we explain how we work and how we are paid.

  2. 2

Gather and photograph the starting point

You share recent statements, tax returns and policy documents. We build a dated snapshot of every account, including fees, allocations and beneficiaries, so the starting point is fixed on record.

  3. 3

    Findings and recommendations

We walk you through what we found, such as overlapping funds, idle cash, outdated beneficiaries or coverage gaps. Each recommendation has a written reason and the tradeoffs we considered.

  4. 4

    Put the plan to work

With your approval we open or consolidate accounts, adjust allocations and coordinate with your CPA or estate attorney. A new snapshot shows exactly what changed.

  5. 5

    Review on a schedule

We meet at set intervals and after life events like a sale of a business, a new grandchild or a retirement date. Each review adds another dated snapshot to your file.

Why Clients Work With Us

Most people have never seen the reasoning behind their own portfolio. We keep a record of it, step by step, so you can follow every decision and question any of it.

  1. 01

    A snapshot before anything changes

Before we recommend a single trade, we capture your current holdings, account types, cost basis and expense ratios on a dated summary. That baseline lets you compare where you started with where you are a year later.

  2. 02

    Retirement guidance from a CRPC

Our retirement planning is handled by a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). That training covers the parts retirees ask about most: when to claim Social Security, the order to draw from taxable, tax-deferred and Roth accounts, and how required minimum distributions affect your bracket.

  3. 03

    Policies read line by line

Because we hold a license to sell life insurance, we can read an existing term or permanent policy clause by clause, check the death benefit against your family's actual needs, and tell you plainly if a policy you own already does the job.

  4. 04

    Written reasons, not verbal promises

Every recommendation comes with a short note on why. If we suggest consolidating three old 401(k) plans into one rollover IRA, the note lists the fees, fund choices and creditor-protection points we weighed.

  5. 05

    Meetings that fit your schedule

Meet at our office or by phone and video. Many clients do the first review in person and later check-ins on video.

A Holmdel Practice That Shows Its Work

We started this practice for people who want to see how their money is handled, not just hear that it is fine. Too many clients come to us with a stack of statements and no idea why they own what they own. We fix that by writing everything down.

Our clients include couples deciding when to retire, families saving for college while caring for aging parents, and business owners trying to separate company money from personal wealth. The work is long-term, so we keep the record long-term too. Years from now you will be able to open your file and trace every decision back to the reason we made it.

Questions Clients Ask Us

What happens in the introductory meeting?
We talk about your goals, your timeline and what prompted you to call. We explain how we work, what we would review and how we are paid. You leave knowing whether we are a fit, with no obligation to go further.
What should I bring?
Recent statements for every investment and retirement account, your last two tax returns, and any life insurance policies or estate documents you have. If something is missing, bring what you can. We will help you track down old 401(k) plans and pensions.
What do you mean by documenting each step?
Before we change anything, we record a dated snapshot of your accounts, holdings, fees and beneficiaries. After each change we record another one, along with a written note explaining why. You can compare them side by side at any time.
Is there an account minimum before you will take me on?
No dollar figure decides who we work with. The real question is whether our planning, investment or retirement work matches what you need right now. If a simpler setup would serve you better, we say so plainly in the first meeting.
Can we meet by video instead of at the office?
Yes. Clients meet us at our office or by phone and video. Many do the first review in person and later updates on video.
Will you pressure me into insurance or new investments?
No. If a policy you already own covers your family's needs, we tell you so in writing. Every recommendation comes with a reason, and you are free to say no to any of it.
Do you work with my CPA and estate attorney?
Yes, with your permission. Tax management and legacy planning work best when your accountant and attorney see the same numbers we do, so we share our written findings with them directly.

What Shapes the Cost of Working With Us

Advisory costs depend on how much work your situation takes and how the work is delivered. We explain how we are paid during the introductory meeting, before you commit to anything. Here is what moves the number.

After the introductory meeting, we put the scope of work and how we will be paid in writing. Nothing starts until you have read it and agreed.

Number and type of accounts
Two IRAs and a brokerage account take less analysis than a mix of 401(k)s, a 403(b), HSAs, 529 plans and old pension statements. Each account type has its own tax rules and beneficiary setup to check.
One-time plan or ongoing management
A single written financial plan is a defined project. Ongoing investment management adds rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting reviews and annual updates, so it is structured differently.
Business ownership
Owners bring extra pieces: retirement plan options like a SEP IRA or Solo 401(k), succession questions and income that swings year to year. That adds analysis time.
Estate and legacy complexity
Trusts, blended families, or assets that need to pass outside probate take more coordination with your attorney and accountant.
Insurance products
Life insurance is paid through the policy premium, and the insurer compensates the agent. We show you how that works on any policy before you decide.
